I addition, you will be instructed to obtain an EKG test from your primary doctor to make sure your heart can withstand the surgery.
Liposuction Treatment Options
There are a variety of different lipoplasty options for even the most diverse areas and situations, some of the most common of these forms of lipoplasty are: suction-assisted, tumescent, power-assisted and ultrasound or laser.
Suction-Assisted
This form of lipoplasty is a very common treatment option; in this procedure, small incisions are created on the skin. Through the use of a straw-like tube, fat deposits are sucked out of the area in a gentle and effective manner.
Tumescent
Tumescent lipoplasty is an effective option for those who don’t want to, or can’t, be exposed to the effects of general anesthetics, as the proper use of local anesthesia in this procedure leads to a pain-free experience. Additionally, blood loss is very limited in comparison to some other, prior, treatments of this variety.
Power-Assisted
This form of liposuction is extremely quick and effective for healthy patients. Typically this treatment is most effective and helpful when used on the abdominal area, as large amounts of fat can be removed quickly and painlessly.
Ultrasound and Laser
In both ultrasound and laser lipoplasty treatments, fat is able to be liquefied, making the fat removal process much quicker and smoother. These options are perfect for patients who want the appearance of a smooth upper abdominal, side or back, with very minimal incisions.
